Beyond the genitalia-centered "1001 sexual positions" school of eroticism, the new gourmet approach to sex aims for more full-bodied involvement. The Hanauers, certified sexological body workers with a background in sex education, Tantra, and massage, here propose a sizable variety of hand-based practices to use before, during, and instead of intercourse. The first section covers hand exercises, preparation and safety, general massage guidelines, and the body's hot spots. The second section lays out more than 130 manual sex techniques for anal stimulation and to enhance intercourse and oral sexfor either gender. Repeated safety reminders coupled with an emphasis on pleasure set this manual on firm footing, and the well-executed line drawings nicely illustrate some of the less intuitive techniques. The only drawback is that the short resource section is limited mainly to materials about massage and Tantra. A fine addition to the sex and relationship sections of public libraries; consider also Lou Paget's "How To Give Her Absolute Pleasure" and "How To Be a Great Lover", excellent him/her manuals stressing hand and oral techniques.
